Formula and method

Weighted grade = sum(score × weight) / sum(weights). Scores and weights must be paired in the same order.

Worked example

Scores of 80, 90, and 100 weighted at 20, 30, and 50 produce a 93% grade.

What the result assumes

Weights are relative and normalized to their total. Missing assessments are not silently counted as zero.

Common question

Must my weights add to 100?

No. The calculator normalizes them. For a final course result, include every assessment and its intended weight.
