Formula and method

Fuel in liters = distance × consumption / 100. Cost = liters × price per liter.

Worked example

A 300 km trip at 7 L/100 km uses 21 liters. At 1.80 per liter, fuel costs 37.80.

What the result assumes

Enter the full trip distance, including the return if needed. Tolls, parking, and maintenance are not included.

Common question

Why might actual fuel cost differ?

Traffic, speed, terrain, load, weather, and fuel prices can change real consumption and cost.
